Very restorable indeed.
I never understood why a taxi has a tow bar, though.

Most aftermarket bus transfers in the UK were made by a firm called Mabex, and back in the days before EFE and Corgi Classics a lot of bus enthusiasts/collectors used their transfers on Lesney and Dinky products as well as white metal kits. I think they were taken over and here is a link to the newest catalogue I can find:

The 'Matchbox' range is much smaller than it used to be (I imagine they are using up old stock and not producing new) but item 'MB53' includes 'Butlins' in white on green backing. I think it's reasonable to suggest other colours were available?

Right. Methinks that my GPW Taxi at this moment is far more interesting...

Today Mr. Postman deliverd a nice Husky in blister.

Unluckily the blister had been opened in the past, however with care.
But hey! The card says "removable canopy", and the price wa a steal... so what am I complaining about... :D

Congrats on the GPW Taxi! Very nice catch.
I’d personally leave it as is: 100% original and not attempt a restoration which would the call the entire model into question.
Well spotted and quick initiative.
Enjoy!
Happy hunting!

The Husky also looks like a nice model.
Is there anything on the back of the card? If so, could you be able to add a photo?
Thank you

On special request: the reverse side of the card.
