Thank you, it took a while to find it. I'll spare the long tangent on the decline of search engines and the dreck they toss up. But in terms of toys, I still have my childhood toys, the Dinky, Corgo, Matchbox, Britains, tanks, planes, and such. A carton of pre-War lead soldiers that my father gave me. None in excellent shape. As background, once I had an idea of collecting Land-Rover toys. Then I stopped by a couple of friend's who did, and had for many years. I volume was frightening, so I backed off. But that has not stopped me from occasionally getting another. I know myself well enough to be careful.

It is like stamp collecting. I started quite young collecting the world. Then dropped to Canada, the US and UK, then, for a variety of reasons, those dropped, or specialised, to the point where today it is Penny Reds and Penny Blues. I appreciate the variety that exists, though variety that arose before CAD/CAM allowed varieties to be produced at frightening levels.

Isn't the EKO a copy of the Anguplas? I have found possibilities on ebay.de, but the larger challenge is someone who is willing to mail to North America. Most that I have asked decline to send them here.

Oh, I do like the Anguplas 107 station wagon mobile chapel. Of the 1:1 scale, there were eight made. Believed that none survive. Of the toy, many more than that, but the plastic Anguplas seems to have used lacks stability. Some of those 107 Station Wagons have curves that the original trucks never had.

Rgds,

Yes, EKO and Anguplas are connected.

Well, not exactly 12A, but an Anguplas popped up and has been added to the collection. Now for the mobile chapel from the same manufacturer.

Still hunting for Lincoln (Australia) and Tucker Box. But patient.

A question on “Polythene Miniatures”. Did they ever make a copy of the Land-Rover 12a or 12b? I’ve been searching, and while found many other copies of Matchbox models, not that one yet. It is possible I’m just unlucky too.

Thank you,

Dixon

I have not seen one and maybe because they had the JEEP on number F.82 they felt that was enough for them not to do a Land Rover.
