I love the RW#41 in yellow, looks fantastic. I dream one day of adding the yellow Italian multi pack Superfast #41 Ford GT in yellow to my collection one day.

So last week I made a low price gamble on an orange BMC. I couldn't tell from the eBay photo if it had a silver painted base or not. It was a poor quality photo.

The gamble didn't pay off, but what made it all good was the fact that its a variation I have not got. Its the high wheel arch version with thin wheels ! I just wish it was in better condition. The search continues....

Cool find Rob, I managed to add one to my collection a while ago, you don’t see them that often.

Silver-Grey painted base would have been a real gem find as I am not aware of any existing so far.

Nice find anyway with the thin wheel-large arch combination.

The silver painted base is a listed variation of the SF#56 BMC1800 Kevin. There is an image of one example on Christians site.

Thanks Alex, just had a look and that must be a very late issue, possibly from 1974 or 1975.

Ah, ok,
I have to add this model to the silver based Superfast section.

I took a little excursion this morning to the Stafford Toyfair. Quite a few Superfasts on sale. I managed to find a nice condition Dodge Challenger with Red interior and a Couple of Turbo Fury's. One has no decal and is good condition the other not so, but I needed one with an '86'.

Not a bad morning.

Not a bad morning by the looks of it. The red interior #1 is a great find, well done.
