In the example you gave, you'd want to delete [ quote="red-thumb" ], the content of your earlier post, and the [ /quote ] that follows it. (There won't be spaces between the brackets; I added them so the software wouldn't think I was quoting a passage.) It's always good practice to remove all but that text you want to highlight or extrapolate on when using the Quote function.

As an aside, I currently live in a big city. Y'all are making me wish I was rich enough to pack off and move to a small town and spend my days in pursuit of my hobbies!

G'day Squid thanks for you help with the "quote re-thumb" I think I succeeded. :o
I am not rich, as I rent a 3 bedroom (just me and my 2 pups and 1 cat) work-mans cottage I rented when I was working on this orchard until my health forced retirement.
My kids wanted me to return to Sydney but on a Pension there, I would be living on my own in a bedsit and not able to enjoy My hobby.
Take the plunge one day. :)
Cheers Al.

One day I will! The main advantage with my current house is that it's not mortgaged. I recently started a job that I enjoy, so maybe I'll be able to at least move to a quiet suburb and shorten my drive to work.

Seconded. I'd like to see some pictures of Al's dogs and cat, too. (I currently have a dog and four cats.)

Moyboy wrote:Hi Al- much the same story as you - from UK in 88 to western Sydney, Penrith. and now maybe moving down the coast to Merimbula way to be with the grand kids as Penrith is a rat race now, not the slow place it used to be. Love to see more of the collection and I'm mainly a YY boy but dabble in all the rset of the ranges.
G'day Moyboy,
I moved to St Marys in 1976 when I bought my first little fibro cottage left finally in 1999 on my own moved to Cairns (Worked for YAPS animal refuge) then travelled around Oz working on farms picking fruit irrigation driving tractors, a lot different to being a self employed fixing carpenter. Ended up Here in Mundubbera Queensland 11 years ago and settled and happy. I live 20 Klm out of quiet town.
If you have seen the change in Penrith imagine what I saw. Panthers (I'm a life member) was in their original club in the heart of Town.
My youngest daughter and family still live in Cambridge Park, my son is in Menai and my eldest daughter up the central coast.
I only wished I had had the strength to move the family away from the rat race while they were young but my EX (another story) would not have a bar of it.
Will be posting pics soon of my best pals and my Home as requested by a few members, watch this space.
Take care chat soon.
Cheers Al.

G'day Ghosty,
I will take some more pics soon and post but this is what I see when sitting outside with My coffee, Mango Tree a Pecan tree and in the back ground all the Lemon trees so I always have lemons. I also have a Macodamia tree in my yard.
Cheers

G'day Squid,
Ninja the Ginger Tom ready to Give me a Karati Chop, he gets rough when he plays but he does keep the rats and snakes away.
Had to save him twice when I found him facing off with a deadly Brown Snake. :o
My 2 pups.... Chilli black & white Mal-shi Loves Food on a diet and is very loving but independent.
Molli white Mal-shi+ Daddy's girl won't leave my side Very Loving but has attitude (nearly called her Franki from the TV series Prisoner) and wow!!! if you come inside the fence and she doesn't know you whatch out for your jean legs.
The Owners of this orchard have 5 little dogs that I Babysit most days at the moment because it is not safe around the shed and tractors as it is begining of picking season.
Will post pictures later of the tribe. Just imagine how little room I get in the bed when they all sleep over while owners are away.
More later.
Cheers Al.

Thank's Al, love the family and love to see so much room around one's apartment outside and if it were mine, I could put loads of sheds there for my collections...
