Kevin the Siku models are bigger then the Matchbox models.
The Siku scale is 1:60 while the Matchbox Chevi is in scale 1:72 if I´m correctly informed.
Here´s a picture to compare the size.

Yes thank's Stephan, I was aware of the size difference, but take any Siku model and it will amaze with it's fine details.

Before Siku made metal models there was a very nice series of toy cars made of plastic.
Here are a few of them.
The models whre made in 1:60 scale.
Because thse models are quite expensive in mint condition I only do have very few of them and they are all played with and with missing parts.

The big one is a Mercury Voyager, in front is a Mercedes Benz 300 SE, a BMW Isetta (pale blue) and the red one is a Messerschmidt KR 201.
In Germany the Messerschmidt is called Schneewitchensarg" which means "Snow White`s coffin".

This thread is getting better!

Love plastics anyway so seeing the early Siku products is great, thank's for adding them to the thread Stephan.

Again, bored and in my basement room just looking around and investigating the many boxes and packets stored here. Amazing what you find in a couple of boxes!
