I think the only way we can tackle the silver trim question is by pooling our knowledge of those examples avaialable for examination. If they all have (more or less) the same casting variations, I would suggest that this implies a factory issue. However, if they all have very different casting details, the conclusion has to be that they are the result of detailing for e.g. a model railway layout. Furthermore, given how comprehensive it is, I think we should use Antonin's variation table for this exercise.
I've had a look at mine and it is: yellow body, decal, HA trim, 11x24, 12x30, DC, body A, tipper B, pin A. (Unfortunately, this doesn't match any of Antonin's variation codes.)

I am enclosing an upgrade of the proposal of the new 6b list, on the basis of the post DrJeep and Hugh, I have added the codes 3 and 7. The variation with the silver trim I have described as "0 pending", and I have changed it according George´s remarks

I found a new 6b at the weekend. It's Antonin's new code 3: yellow paint, 12x30 back wheels, crimped axles, body A (no block), tipper B (with pin brace), rivet A (rounded). No decals, but in worn condition so this doesn't mean anything. It also confirms that my existing 6b is dark yellow and therefore Antonin's new code 7.

Nice spotted DrJeep, I will add this variation in the list with a new alpha/numerical code.
