Oops hall of fame
Re: Oops hall of fame 2016 is now online.
Just won this oddity in an ebay job lot. A nice mix of black and grey wheels.

I noticed that one too. However, it looks so odd (and so obvious to anyone assembling the model), I couldn't decide whether it was a mega-oops or simply a fake. I look forward to reading your assessment of it in due course.moston100 wrote:Just won this oddity in an ebay job lot. A nice mix of black and grey wheels.

I figured it was worth a punt for 20 quid Hugh and will post a few more detailed pics when I receive it.

Mini Dinky Vette on the left in metallic blue seems to have been double punched or missed drilled base when the post/rivet head was stamped at the factory ?????

A few more detailed pics of the 9c. It has 10x24 gpw on the front and 10x24 bpw on the rear, both dome head rounded axles. It has hose connectors at the rear and internal ejector rings. The ladder is brown/gold with 18 rungs. Silver trim is present on the front grille but there is no rear trim. The base rivet looks ok as do the wheels and axle ends.
Re: Oops hall of fame 2016 is now online.
Fascinating! The axle ends do look good and they seem like they’ve been there forever. What’s happened to the back left grey wheel? It looks like it’s not mounted centrally - is this just the angle of the picture?
The 18-rung gold ladder is probably off a newer model, with the paint wear next to the ladder suggesting that it was missing for a while. But they're easily swapped, so that doesn't really tell us anything.
