Glad to hear the Orlando area did ok. In Vero Beach, the eye of Matthew was about 28 miles offshore - putting it 31 miles from my house! It really wasn't too bad - I think the highest wind the Vero Beach saw was just over 90 mph. I lost a few tree limbs, and one whole palm tree, which took out my fence. We were without power for 3 days. We rode it out here at home, and I ran my little diesel generator to keep the food cold in the freezers! No damage at all to the house & family is all good. Around town, I saw a few signs down, some aluminum porches got nailed, & the boardwalk washed out at the beach. In all, not nearly as bad as 2004.

I hope you Guys over there have the same or preferably better luck next time. It can not be a lot of fun when the Hurricane season starts and thank's for keeping us in the news despite what some of you have been through and we are glad you made it through this time but it was sad news from Joe, our thoughts are with the Family.

Sounds similar to the damage we had. I lost fence too and that seems to be a common issue, retailers are having trouble keeping fence posts and fencing in stock. Good to know you guys were OK.

Damned hurricane and earthquake zones must be worrying even when things are normal because you just don't know when the next one is going to hit. I know that faced with the same problem, I'd need a few weeks warning to save my stuff. Hope you and yours kept top side of events.
