I tend to agree with Idris though.
After WWll there were a lot of diecasting companies set up in the free-zone in Germany to make all kinds of things, and as Idris mentioned, the model shows signs of proper diecasting, however the crudeness of the model's design and the quality of the zamak used, suggest it may have been done by a hobbyist, perhaps a worker with a bit of handycraft skills and ingenuity, who had made a die and used a bit of zamak off the top of the pot to make the model. Toys were lacking in the time after the war, so a little model like this would certainly have been appreciated by a small child. If only the model could talk.
To me the model closely resembles an Opel Blitz truck, a vehicle that would have been very common in Germany both during and immediately after the war.
From what part of Germany, was the seller located ?
