Mine has obviously given a child a great deal of pleasure, but here it is with the remains of decals.

Labels on a model with the smooth floor is an unlisted variation. I think there are two possibilities:

- someone's moved the labels from another model to hide worn decals. This seems unlikely because the model is in such good condition.
- old castings brought out from the back of the stockroom after labels had been introduced. This seems like the likely option.

I've had a quick look around and I don't think anyone's ever mentioned this variation before. Good find!

I'm sure someone can verify that this could be an unlisted variation. I agree that labels are not listed for this smooth bed model, only decals.

I just received this mixed lot of vehicles that I purchased from an online ad. Have some Matchbox, Hot wheels, Zylmax, Yatming, and Kenner vehicles. All in pretty good condition for their age. I don't normally buy lots like this, especially online, but the Matchbox alone are worth more than what I paid for the whole bunch.

Nice lot, but the gree Mack stays in wrong place. The pink Honda is very exciting. Congratulation, Peter

The green Mack looks almost exactly like the Matchbox version, but in fact it is a Zylmax copy!

Bob

Looks like a great value lot to me - have you flipped over the red Dodge Tipper to see if it is the short base version and the Green/Orange Faun Crane in case it is the one without the brace? :) :)

Happy Collecting :D

Sebastian,
The Dodge Tipper and the Faun Crane are both the common versions, long base on the Dodge, and brace on the Faun.

That's a nice lot there Bob, it's good to hear about additions that come from somewhere other than ebay.

I did a comparison of the Matchbox 28d Mack to the Zylmex Mack that was in this lot. I can't believe that the castings are almost identical. Only a couple minor differences, the main one is the ribs on the cab protector.

Thank you Bob for the side by side comparison between the Lesney and Zylmac dumpers. As they say ‘imitation is the sincerest form of flattery!” the Zylmac looks like a recreation of the Lesney from a new mould.

The pink Honda is a nice find.
I particularly like the two Fiats since they both have their luggage along and the one is the earlier dark brown.

Very nice!
Enjoy!
