Thanks for your pictures Antonin, I had never seen these lighter booms in our area of the U.S. It's interesting that George's model has the later plastic hook on it, while your code 2 is one of the very first Cranes off the assembly line at the Lesney factory. That seems to indicate there were several different variations on this Crane that might be found with this much lighter boom color on them. Another oddity for me to watch out for at shows now and add to our collection. Thanks for sharing this one Kiwi. I still wonder how they riveted that boom on while leaving most of the paint still showing around the outside of the boom's base rivet. Quite interesting indeed......kwakers :?:

I too agree that the Magirus jib is the original lighter orange and untampered.Nice spotting!
