For those analyzing the reverse wrecker photos, here is food for thought: Thin boom; Mask sprayed grill, headlights and front license plate; Smooth base plate with no rear ridge line; LESNEY on all four 11.5 x 45 BPW; Dome head round axles; Gray plastic single line hook; Decal correct; Rivets untampered; No photo chemicals in paint under ultraviolet light (ie very old paint). And of course Green Cab, Yellow Back. Hope I'm right! Macdonald

Thank you Rodger. I have often used your regular wheels catalog as a reference over the years. That is a great product and the work you put into it is appreciated. I will be posting Drawer 2 soon. I want to let the the reverse wrecker discussion run it's course first. Macdonald

I had my doubts about the reverse wrecker when I could not quite make out if there were the LESNEY letters on the wheels, but you say they are there, plus the lack of the mould join line just ahead of the rear axle and the other details I can see in the photos do match a genuine example except for the shade of Green. It is almost impossible to create the exact shade of Green without having a genuine example in the hand to copy and so the known fakes all seem to be of the wrong shade, if a correct shade of Green is seen on a known fake, it will be down to luck. The shade of Green coming across on my computer screen gives it too much of a Blue tint, the genuine Green is dark Green, no hint of any other colour, a Green close to dark Greens used on other Lesney produced models, the Green I see on the example in these pictures I do not see on other Lesney produced models, that's where I stand, so sorry, I'm out.

Thanks Ghosthunter. The photo I sent does have a blue tint. Probably too much flash. Here is a normal light photo although color in photographs is always hard to judge. I've also attached a wheel with LESNEY visible. Sorry about the large photos. Office 2013 and Windows 10 does not have a decent photo editor. Working on it. Cheers, Macdonald

Thank's Mac, and presumably the 'BP' decal is a waterslide decal and not the later sticky paper label type, then all seems fine and you are a proud owner of a reverse wrecker.
