Ever notice how all his life threatening injuries and illnesses happen to coincide with the start of hunting season? Since he doesn't work and always goes off and travels to different areas this time of year on hunting trips ... I'm sure it's another "Curtis Cover-up." He does like his trophy Elk and Deer and with all the bad press from that trophy hunting dentist, who killed Cecil the Lion, I'm sure he is eager to hide his movements and actions.

It may just be the server I’m on (or, given MC’s reputation, the result of the spam filter and/or anti-virus software doing what it’s paid for) but I now cannot get any connection at all with http://www.mboxcommunity.com. (Previously there was some kind of placemarker stating that the domain contained no configured pages.)
Presumably this latest development indicates that MC has now turned off his server?

The last thing that could be accessed from that server was his defunct Cold Professionals web page. The page was never finished (because Curtis quit working). It was much like his other "place markers" and the links went nowhere. That "place marker" of a web page was put up around 2003ish and never completed or revised since the day it went up. That page would also seem to be gone as I can no longer find it. It went down when the other "place markers" went dark. I think your conclusions are correct, he has likely given up his server. Since donated money (to his for profit business) has dried up, he probably gave up the server when the next bill came due.

While many lament what used to be, those days and that web site will never be again. Curtis has burned his last bridge and he's better off with his FB page where no one really knows who he is or how manipulative and nasty he can be. There were a huge number of collectors whom he banned, banished and belittled. Those people won't soon forget the very dark side of the man. He even had a very ugly name for those members and called them PONAs (Person Of No Account), nearly identical to the term Nazi's gave to undesirable races and individuals they murdered at will.

Once all his greed, sloth, manipulation, lies and dirty dealings were exposed, the cat was out of the bag. I'm actually glad the site is gone and that he's no longer a part of the hobby. There is no place in the hobby for a twisted person who steals from other collectors and thrives off the compliments of a small band of sycophantic followers who were deceived and manipulated from the start.
