There is another small mistake by Stannard and Nick. There is always mentioned 5 pips in the roof behind the windscreen, but there are 6 pips!!!

Have also one with 6 pips.

By the way: What is the sense of these pips??
A kind of "overflow space" for the metal??
Anybody know that

When a die(mould) opens you want the whole casting to be on the moving(ejector) side,my guess is lesney were having trouble with the casting bending when the die opened,these pips would hold the casting still till it was ejected
