I have my searches set for specific models e.g. 44 Rolls Royce Phantom V
I checked the search setting and notice that for some I'm no longer receiving e-mails - so guess must have been on ebay.com
The ebay.uk setting still appear OK.
On change I did notice was in the e-mail search results sent to me.
I used to get small photos with up to 5 models across the page.
Last couple of days come through with large photo that fill message pane.
It took me 2 days to realise that there other photos further down the page (after I had deleted heaps of search results), just needed to scroll down.
Very visually orientated and hadn't noticed the number of results!
eBay has too many restrictions in place now -often sellers not are of the GSP that eBay has set by default (hence high postal costs) or that templates appear to exclude some countries. Recently contacted US seller to see if they would change settings to allow me to bid.
Here's his reply
Sorry for the inconvenience. We recently withdrew from eBay's GSP and have decided to do our own shipping to a selected group of countries. One of those is certainly New Zealand. The problem is when we made the adjustments to our auction templates, because we did not specifically add New Zealand (not on eBay's list of countries we could add) and we did not change our buyer requirements that buyers reside in countries where we specifically ship, NZ is being blocked.
Since there are bids on this auction, they will not allow us to change the shipping policy.
Thanks for bringing this to my attention. All listings in the future will be fixed to include NZ. If you have anyone in countries that can bid (AUS or UK?) and they should win, we will ship the item to NZ for you.
For many NZ collectors eBay is our main resource for hard to find models - even Aussie eBay is getting expensive and that's our neighbour.

I have used Google-type searches for several years now, having been caught out by the last major "improvement" of the categories. Although they still work, the problem is that on some computers, irrespective of the browser, the sort criterion changes to "best match" when I click to the second page of the search. However, this only happens in list view, gallery view is fine!
Dear Ebay, if it ain't broke, don't fix it!

Bug was finally fixed this evening! (It only took them three weeks.)

In any other industry there would be extensive user acceptance testing of any proposed upgrade. Clearly Ebay dont see any value in doing that!!!!
