Just won this little lot on our local auction site, I will pick up in the morning and post individual shots shortly. I'm pretty pleased to win this bunch, plenty of competition but I got it for considerably less than I was prepared to pay.....

Can not wait to see these in more detailed pictures, especially the Two Bentley models and the Lady Penelope Rolls-Royce.

That's a nice lot with a great selection of goodies. I really like the petrol pumps, and they go very well with the service station. You just need an attendant now!

Right I finally had time today to go pick these up.

The auction was a bit of a gamble, single photo, non specialist Pawn Broker seller, sparse description with only relevant thing being Good Condition.....

But I think I did OK, Couple of things I didn't see in the photo and didn't expect, but altogether a good lot to acquire.

Dinky's First

Citroen Dyane

Image

Parsley Bull Nosed Morris Oxford (about as far away from classic vintage Dinky as you can get)

Image

Image

Cadillac Eldorado

Image

Image

Image

Vauxhall Viva, in Gold US Export Visipac Box - Disappointing to find a playworn Viva in a pretty good box...

Image

Image

Image

Aston Martin DB6 - In a DB5 box, Broken Rear bumper and missing one headlight, all fixable with repro parts but annoying as I should have picked some this up from the picture.

Image

Image

Ford Corsair 2000E

Image

Image

Lotus Europa

Image

Image

Healey Sports Boat in need of a repro screen and an endflap.

Image

Image

Lady Penelope FAB1 Missing 3 harpoons, box insert and the end of an end flap, but overall very good condition in the rarest shade.

Finally the Matchbox Yesteryears, 2 X Bentley and Shand Mason Horse Drawn Fire Engine.

(Unfortunately the Yesteryear photo were lost as part of the Photobucket Debacle in Mid 2017 and I could not reinstate from Post Images)

Thank's for showing your recent additions in better separate pictures. I know Bob ("YYS4BOB"), will concentrate on the Shand model, I will concentrate on the Bentley, in particular the usually hard to find 'Apple Green' Y-5(B). I wonder why the side decals are missing and where has the steering wheel gone, this is a shame, because this version of the Bentley is very sought-after and not so long ago could command a Three figure sum of money. I believe replacement decals are available with some internet searching and you could get a 'Beater' Bentley for it's steering wheel and replace the missing one in yours.

The "FAB I" is quite stunning in as you say the rare 'Dayglo' Pink, this is another model that can command Three figures in mint in box condition. 'QDT' have very recently shown 9 Dinky "FAB I" models for sale and the cheapest example is £345...!!

If you want to have some fun, try looking for your exact version in my book here...http://s1018.photobucket.com/user/kevin ... ow/Fab%201

...it is in the form of a Slide Show, but you can slow it down or pause any page you want, enjoy!

The Shand has lost it's driver and he has been replaced by a 3rd crewman, note the hole to locate on the pegs on the side seats. The gold helmeted crew are correct for this model, and look as though they may have gold breast plates? If so, they are the hardest firemen to find. Looks like a standard issue 3.
The apple (candy) green Y5-2 Bentley has been in the wars somewhat. The dark red seats/tonneau is the best bit of it. Bent headlights will break off if you try to straighten them 9 times out of 10.
The Y5-1 Bentley is issue 7 by the look of it.
