Welcome lesney0905 to the Forum! Please look over all of the casting details on that 'spoiled' original Fiat with a magnifying glass both inside and under it. Even look inside at the windows, the roof, and also that roof rivet that holds the windshield into the car. An early Lesney pre-production like your 'spoiled' model may have tiny differences that are very easy to miss if you are not looking REAL carefully. Is the body color the same on that 'spoiled Fiat' when you compare it carefully with your other green models? We Forum members are VERY interested to learn any new details, so forgive us if we all seem to be repeating the same advice to you. I had never heard of this white luggage before now, so Thank You for showing your odd model to us.

Tim, you are absolutely correct!
I still haven't seen who the seller was or where this seller obtained the part. Nik could very well be responsible for this item. I wouldn't give it any special status until much more research is done.

hello, are lesney collector for over 15 years, I have about 1000 models with original boxes, my account on ebay is 537, all obtained as a buyer lesney.Ho carefully controlled model with a magnifying glass: green color slightly lighter, I think due to the ravages of time, windows equal to the other models also at the base of the roof, wheels equal diameter, orange-red interior, black plastic base with the same name and model number, if there is a change is microscopic !! I will check more carefully, as soon as I will have a series of photographs dettagliate.Come I wrote before, when I saw her for the first time on ebay, I was puzzled, too, then I checked the book Charlie Mack is I saw that exists as Preproduction (regular wheels 1953-1969, p 134) and I bought it, a greeting to my new friends collezionisti.Roberto

My bet is that it's genuine.

Heres an old pic which i had saved so this could lend credence to Robertos White/Ivory luggage specimen being a genuine pre-pro.
Welcome on board Roberto!

Hello lesney0905
Welcome to the forum Roberto
Would it be possible please to take a photo with the white ( looks cream/ivory) alongside another genuine luggage piece (top view) as well as along side something white. This may show it’s true colour comparison if all in the same photo.
The one in Charlie Mack book is alongside a white DAF truck.
I first saw the 56b white luggage photographs in Charlie Mack books back around 1993 but do not recall seeing any other books that mention this colour plastic.
Many thanks.

I'll say this, if that luggage is a copy, then it's one of the best copies I've seen to date. I think you have a genuine preproduction set of luggage there. As for the car it came on, who knows.

if that luggage is a prepro...and if the car it came with was an early production model...should the interior be with out the extension tabs?...would that help the cause of the luggage being legit even more so
