That is a much more accurate description by "Idris", I was trying to keep it as simple as I could without getting into the differences between 'Supercharging', 'Turbocharging', belt-driven, crankshaft-driven and the air compression method.

Been following a bit of this thread.
Bentley lovers might like to know in the 1930s the West Australian Police imported two Bentleys. I thought one was such a blower - as a pursuit car - but I checked a WA police site and it seems they were for mobile telecommunications patrol cars. I believe one was recently located by chassis number.
Anyway _ google it and read more....

Since my last visit to this thread, there has been a development. I found a small box containing several more Bentley models. The box has turned up during the move of most of my 'Yesteryear' collection from my normal home to my Father's. These were not identified so must have been put together for that very reason and now in doing so, I have found a Fourth 'Brake-Lever' casting to add to the others.
This has taken my actual collection total to 39 versions of the Y-5(B) Bentley.
By the same token however, I have lost a model previously recorded on my versions listing, so I know it's specification, I just don't have the model anymore, so there is a gap where it is supposed to be in the 'Tim-Line'.

Thanks Alex.
In the Second picture, the Eighth model along has been mislaid somewhere and further along the same line, the model that should be in the number '38' gap, I do not yet have!!
So from looking at these Two pictures, I only have the One variation missing, but there are a couple of models in the '2002 White Book' (a past bible for Yesteryears), that I do not have...!

Bloody Hell!
Do you have a spread sheet with all the variations listed?
I haven't really attacked the painted ones to your forensic degree yet, let alone the plated ones. Next time I have a free week, I'll have a go!
