I am updating my site at the moment, I hope to have it completed by February or thereabouts.
I will then lock the codes and all new discoveries will be added at the end of the table so the codes will not change any more.
Later I hope to publish a 1-75 guide in a pocket size book that will have all of the code details. It will have a space to tick off the variations you already have and being pocket size will be handy to take to toyfairs and boot sales etc.
Hi Nick - GREAT!... and that pocket book will certainly help when I'm on the "prowl" at swapmeets here in NZ and in Oz!

How did your prowling go at Trentham on Sunday Ian? It was good, as usual, to catch up with you. I have to say it was slim pickings for me, but I did sell a few, so that was something. :D

Incidentally, I've always considered these fine tread 15c models without the hole to have been the second issue - the change to tread happening just before or at the same time as the casting change. Pretty sure there are a few with the hole and Knobbly treads as well, so I imagine it was much like those "both way" crossovers in the transitional era.

Cheers,
Gavin

Hi Gavin.
I'm pretty sure the fine tread / no hole version was a later issue, The knobbly tread / with hole is very common and probably makes up as much as 70% or more of all tippaxes, Then the fine tread version was brought out and a minute number of them have been found with the no hole container. My guess these were a result of a small number of old stock container bodies being used up, It's possible that it could even be the final issue as they were using up all of the stock as the model was being deleted.

Hi Gavin... slim pickings for me too but I found a Dinky 291-G-3 Double Decker with the scarce red plastic hubs, a Dinky 405-G-3 Universal Jeep with the scarce red plastic hubs, a mint MB 35-b-1 Snow-Trac that I had to add repro tracks to and, finally, a Hell Pizza Hearse to add to my hearse collection (had to have one as my daughter used to work/manage a Hell's outlet in the Hutt Valley and after all it WAS a hearse!) - didn't see too many #15 Refuse trucks though (at least none worth adding to the collection).

My #15 version is the one with knobbly tyres and no hole... I have lots of others with the hole but its the only one (so far) without the hole.

Ok RW collectors....forgetting the numerous variations can you please confirm which is rarer:

1. With peephole?
2. Without peephole?

I have to admit i would always want one with a peephole!!! ;) ;)

NO SERIOUSLY which version should i be concentrating on??

The peephole was added soon after the model was launched, We assume it was needed to help release the casting from the dies, so both versions of the without peephole are the desirable ones, the fine tread without peephole the rarest by far but even the knobbly wheel without peephole is pretty hard to find.
