wheeler dealer here lol, these came to me from a deceased collectors estate, they were bought from a dealer based in america, he bought lots of models from this guy ,but i cant remeber his name

I guess Harold Colpitts + Bob Brennan would have imported these direct from Lesney so the VW could have been made for a US VW car club so made in USA seems to be the answer,unlikely to have ever been to Japan !

Because it was available unsold! There must be more of these VWs in USA unless it was a one off sample rejected by a VW car club - most likely East Coast not too far from NY as its most likely the sole importers were Harold Colpitts + perhaps Bob Brennan

How would this be coded if at all i have seen another about a year ago at a toyfair at stafford but could not get to
speak to the trader
