I suspect that Nick's Code 13 has a typo with regard to the ridge at the bottom of the model (or, if Nick's Code 13 exists, he has simply left out the final variation). Even with constant updates, there are still many errors and typos in Nick's codes/listings. I still find the Stannard and other guides most valuable for variation identification and I still catalog my own items using the Stannard guide.

..............and where do you get these?
It's long out of print. You have to find a used guide on ebay or at swap meet. I remember seeing the one of the Bill Aprile reprints sell on ebay for over $500 USD, I had bought two of those and sold my "back-up" Aprile reprint (on ebay) for nearly as much.

Expensive...but not if you're prepared to pay $6K on a reverse wrecker.

Sadly, most collectors can't so easily afford Stannard - a shame as it is fantastic (I got lucky and found one cheap!). Like Joe, I catalogue using Stannard rather than Nick's site. That isn't meant as a snub, as Nick's site is a fantastic resource.

Cheers,
Gavin
