Here is the picture showing what the tow guide looks like on the Lincoln and I think it is missing on the featured example posted here by "Greatbrit".

Here is the image re sized, it looks like a tow guide to me as well

Now I'm confused Here's picture that shows both, I thought mine had the smooth 'no towguide' edge. In front of the towguide is the license plate frame holder, that looks a bit like a towguide, or maybe that is the towguide?:

That's OK Greatbrit.

Casting little ridges like the one shown on the right hand side model in the photo, was how Lesney managed to add the so-called 'Tow-Guide' to most of the 1-75 series 'Regular Wheel' models. It was simply a way of hooking-up the model to a recovery truck, during long playing sessions on the carpet!!!

Despite being proven to have bad eyesight and not concentrating on what I am supposed to be commenting on in member's postings, I believe your Lincoln is of the smooth, no 'Tow-Guide' type, the model on the left in the picture.

I would now agree with Ghosty, it would appear that your Lincoln does have the smooth base without the raised tow guide.

Thanks very much Ghosty, much more manageable! I've figured out how to resize the rest of them, but I have 120 photos in all, can't find a way to upload them all in one go. What would be the best way to get that many photos up on the forum?

Your best bet is to upload them publicly to a photo sharing site like Flickr or Photobucket. Then just use the image tag on here to post them. Regardless of size, when you post, they will be of manageable size like the image link below:

I stand corrected on this one also. The rectangle under the front license plate and the curved edges around it really looked the part of a Tow Guide this morning in my hasty look at it. Mick was right with sharper eyes on this one. kwakers

Thanks for the tip McCarthyMR. I did upload to photobucket, but hadn't figured out that I could link to each image. Nice photo BTW, I'm beginning to see why everyone hangs out here, such a nice bunch of people. I have a friend with a real life Figaro; a big crowd of Figaro owners from all over the world meet up every year (Holland this year) and have a great time together. This forum seems to be like that, but of course the cars are a bit smaller
