What Very Sad and shocking News...... An Icon in the world of Lesney has left us, but he like many other friends in our hobby live on in our thoughts forever. I have now been brought to tears by the passing of this man I only knew from this Forum, but seemed to have known forever through the hobby experiences he has shared with us.......Prayers and condolences from Dick and the kwakers family

Feeling I have come to this thread rather late, I am pleased I am here, however, I am speechless to learn of the saddest of news to hit this forum. I just want to say...Woolfie mate, wherever you are now, we are all thinking of you and thank you for touching our lives.

I've come to know Wolfie through his contributions on assorted forums over the years and even moreso by the words of respect that his vintage MATCHBOX peers universally have always poured out concerning Wolfie. It has been a genuine pleasure to know him from a distance. That pleasure will live on. Wishing peace and joy to his family and friends as they celebrate his legacy.

Some of you may not know but Wolfie was the author of chapter 9 the "Kingsize and Superkings ranges" in the Matchbox 40 year book.
And of course fellow forum member Nigel Cooper, The current Matchbox Ambassador was the author of chapter 5 the "Matchbox regular (wheel) range and Paul Carr who pops in occasionally wrote chapter 6 the "Matchbox Superfast range" and chapter 10 the "Long Haul, Convoy, MB17 and MB38 ranges".
Such esteemed company to be in,

May I make a suggestion to the effect that the 'Lesney Matchbox Major, Accessories & King Size' section is renamed in respect of our friend Wolfie, into something like...Wolfie Ginsburge's Major & King Size section.
