I use my collection as cash, so if I am in a period of low cash I sell, but I always look for them again when Im up. I have 200-300 models now where 60% are just plain normal ones and the rest are stuff I sell or keep in my collection. I offen have a period where I only look for one special model, I fucus on finding as many different ones in short time

I will go along with all that..Apart from a different list of stuff I collect items from when I was a kid......Nostalgias not what it was...

If it's made in England Lesney 1-75 and came in a cardboard picture box or matchbox style box, then it's in. Outside that, it's the odd thing I like here and there, but the focus is Lesney 1-75 almost exclusively. I don't exclude any casting, even if I'm not a big fan, and every variation of model or box is good for me. I'm pretty sure that those parameters will mean my collection is never as complete as I'd like it to be.
I have a couple of Bulgarians and a Hungarian, but only as "examples" - if I could find a reasonably priced Brazilian, I'd add one too. Otherwise, not really fussed by any of those, as one could go more than a lifetime trying to get them all...
Cheers,
Gavin

LOL .. one of my sisters believes in witchcraft but does not believe in Ghosts.. Which I find quite odd... I'm more the other way around. as I have photo proof of ghosts ...
Matchbox cars are great and plently made but you have do to homework on what you have as two that look the same on 1st glance are not always the same..

Hello Maldat, no, "Ghosty" is short for "GHOSTHUNTER" as I am into Rolls-Royce and one of the most well known cars they made was called a Silver Ghost and as a model collector, I am always chasing Silver Ghost models.

Ghosty.

Just starting up after 45+ years away...
Current idea is to fill this case...
- Room to grow...but only so far.

This was made to hold all regular wheel 1-75 with "significant" variants (obviously seen). If we did the measuring and building right...room for 313 units on top of their boxes with about 3/4" in between.
Starting with those that could have been purchased in 1968 (my "big" MB year), then planning to bring up to '69, then start working backwards...
My wife says she can already see the other wall is a goner, too
...we'll see...
