As for both Toy Shows and Auto Flea Markets, the Internet and E Bay have taken a lot of the best offerings off the tables at these events. A collector can now sit at home in front of the computer rather than drive to a show to find needed pieces. Also, the vendors can effectively market an expensive or unique item now to a world-wide audience rather than just in a local area's population.
I still enjoy both venues myself. I found my second white sleeved 6C early Dumper 10 feet from Hardy's table at the Hershey Matchbox Show 2 years ago, and not very far from one sharp collector Matt from Pennsylvania. The price was that of a 'stock' Dumper, and then with discount was downright cheap. You don't get that 'live' excitement through a computer screen, but E Bay and 'The Marketplace' have treated me well through the years also. kwakers
