Reg, you've kind of hit on something, wouldn't it be interesting to know the age demographic the the Forum members. It would certainly be reassuring to see some younger members on the forum absorbing all this knowledge being passed down from the older generation of collectors for without them what is the point in us preserving our individual collections. Perhaps Nick could enlighton us about the age range of the members of this Forum. I persomaly am trying to encourage my sone Dylan aged 5 to take up an interest in collecting diecast. He is perhaps to young to appreciate the complexities of collecting and the obvious pitfalls, but already he is using terms such as mint, original, boxed, and beater. Next year i plan to educate him on the different wheel types that can be found to learn the terminology used. I just hope he will continue what i have started. Actually i might start another post in the lounge on this very subject.

Just startet shaving MM
Fixer its a good idea.
MM I get a bit sad when I see some collection get sold by the passed away collectors kids and they have zero interest in the collection. I have to girls and they are from nature just not interested. I have tried again and again, but it is only in short periods the seem to enjoy the models. But I still try to get them on board!

Hi "gangsterman",
its just a little poem off the cuff (my literary vein breaks through), but you sure can rap it.
As scottish is not my native language, it maybe sounds a little rough (my visit in scotland is now 30 years gone)

I just put a dark red base light gold miura on ebay, I also have light gold miuras with unpainted base and a pinky-red base. the pinky-red base has no spring holding the doors on so they fall off easily, but surprisingly it still has both its doors, It belonged to my son in law Colin.
