As variations go Stannards only lists 4 variations but that was 1n 1985, now Nick has 6 variations so new variations are always being found.

I have looked everywhere and cannot find my light colored version of this. Yours will have to continue to be unique.
While searching however, I came up with a different unlisted variation. This version has body 1, no hole, plastic mixer pin and wider braces. This confirms the wider braces and plastic mixer pin were done prior to the inclusion of the base hole. This version is also slightly lighter than the others but not nearly as light as yours. It is play worn though so that may be why.

I realize this thread is quite old but I finially have both the truck and my camera in the same place at the same time. I do not think it is quite as light as yours, and my pictures are not as good either.
It has the wide axle braces and yet no hole in the base. Body 1, yet the mixer pin (although damaged) is plastic, not an axle pin. Add in the color and it is one odd duck!

But. which really is the same light yellow?

I cannot find a suitable match to this color. I have 1 superfast example (which is lighter than the normal RW) but the truck in question is lighter than any of them. When compared to a yellow vehicle like the Muira though, the truck is more orange-y.
What I find most interesting though is the lack of a base hole (indicating an early example) but the wide braces are there too, which would be a late example. That really does a number on the timeline of things.
