Yes, that makes us feel a lot better on what I feel is quite a rare piece. If Nick has shopped for 6 years for one, should I be yelling at Jason for doing a MokoMia on the Seller at such a cheap price? Perhaps Numi's view of 'All is fair in Love and Lesney collecting' is appropriate here. Nice bargain Jason......GRRRRRR

Martin's Maxim states one example for a casting variation, two for everything else. That requirement has now been exceeded by 50%!

The code 1 (no decal guides) has been listed for some time
That's now 3 code 1's - no decal guides with no decals,
still looking for a new code 2 - no decal guides with decals (if it exists)

I paid £5. (It was priced at £10, but I beat him down on the basis that the decals were missing!)

Kwakers has stated that Harvey had a playworn example for sale as a BiN on Ebay last year. If Harvey was selling that, then he must now have a better example sitting in his collection. Therefore there are (at least) two known examples of the hypothetical new variation code 2. QED.

That is correct Nick. Hardy's listing was with decal, but without guides, and it looked worn but very original. It was sold earlier last year, maybe during the Summer while I debated over buying it from him. His listing was the first I had seen of this guideless variation, apparently never reading about it at your site!!! I must put down my Stannards that I am clutching in my cave to study the Moko site a bit more. Perhaps Diecast has an example of each? I am now looking for both versions....
With such cheap prices on BOTH of these first casting 41As, J and Idris make Mokomia look like a Saint!!!!! In the middle of my chastising Jason, he throws Idris 'under the bus' to divert the heat. Pretty clever you Brits, and #@*# lucky too.
