cOO7rgi, this is that i just was thinking! I work an a daily base with spray paints, so i also would state, that the pale green is the base paint and the dark green is the second run. To mask the cast in this way, you only need to cover roof and trunk. Doing it the other way would mean to cover the whole body with exception of the roof and trunk. It would have been a mask like a ring around the car - to complicated for a serial production.
