 Thank's Reg. I got a good deal on it because it was a 'BIN' or 'Best Offer' and I went in with a low offer and within Five minutes he accepted and I brought it, which after post and packing came to just £21.25.

My recent dip into the murky World of ebaying has brought me a few treasures and this is another one that has just come through my front door.

"Just another old Yesteryear Rolls-Royce" I can hear you saying.

Yes maybe...

"He must have dozens of these bloody things by now" yes there is about 38 examples on tempoaray display in this colour scheme while I fine tune the 'Time-Line'.

But this particular version is the very first full production 1912 Rolls-Royce introduced in late 1973 as part of the face-lifted range.

The reference book for these models puts this example as 'Issue 20', which makes it appear a later production model, but it is not an issue 20, more like 14 or 15, but because of the discrepencies in the book it could be anywhere!

As soon as 'Yesteryear' production was resumed during 1973, the colour of this model had been chosen and set as part of the model's specification. This specification included the new 'One size fits all' wheel and tyre combination and castings for the body and baseplate were taken from the 'Giftware' range. so Two un-collared holes appear on this model's baseplate.

This model is the earliest example of the 1912 Rolls-Royce in this colour scheme not including the 'Transitional' models made just before this, which are NOT full production items.

This new addition to the collection will replace my previous example which was not in the best condition and both appear in the last picture.

Hi Ghosthunter

You certainly know your stuff on the Rollers, I can't help but wonder how many you have in your collection? Maybe you don't even know.

Do you have them all on display because I would to see some of them.
