Editorial content has been a bit thin lately, it seems most of our readers are busy with their model collections and we would like to congratulate "Motorman" on his recent successful prize winning event.
We have been informed of several Matchbox model clubs that have been launched recently and we are pleased to list them here, the contact details will be on our back page with all the other stuff and important contact phone numbers.
ROLS...Rare Old Lesney Superfasts. This is an interesting club for fans of the Superfast models and will set out to help collectors find those old rare versions we might otherwise miss.
SKINS...Speed Kings Institute Near Shewsbury. Not sure what this club intend to do, I was not aware there was a glutton of Speed King models near Shewsbury, but if there is, these are the people to get in contact with.
SSSS...Save Some Superfasts Soon. Another club for Superfast fans, but apparently they cater for collectors who are unsure about what to collect and they are prompting new members to, well, save some Superfasts soon...!
RWCRWC...Really Worth Collecting Regular Wheel Cars. This is for the older Matchbox models and the emphasis is on the worthwhile attributes of collecting the Regular Wheel range of Cars, but nothing else from Matchbox...!
and finally for now,
FAFFA...Find A Funny Foden Association. This one has been instigated by our very own Mr Motorman who is a World Class expert on Matchbox Superfast Foden models, in particular the version with Superfast wheels and the base tab showing through the front bumper. He tells us membership is very brisk at the moment with members joining virtually every Year and they instantly get as part of their membership pack, a signed photo of Mr Motorman holding one of the rare Funny Foden models.
