I have recently added to my Bentley collection with these Two, one in Black and one in dark metallic Grey.
They call this a 1954 Bentley 'R' Type 'Continental' by Franay.
Which is essentially just an 'R' Type 'Conti' by H.J. Mulliner with alternative trim, Franay being a coachbuilder who touched only Three cars and only one of them in left hand drive, so this model also being left hand drive could be said to be based on Chassis number BC 51LC.
Plenty of detail on the base including the series name which is Signature series from 'YATMING' in China. Price in the UK was a mere £10.

You did very well to buy these Kevin, they are smashing models at a ridiculous low price.
I repainted one of these in green.
Unfortunately Yatming has gone out of business, but the stuff has been taken over by Lucky Diecast.
As you know Yatming also produced the S2 Continental version, the blue closed model by L.D. and the 2 in the background are repaints.

About this Amber glazing for Silver Cloud, I have one in James Bond silver and two in cream (lighter Amber was Macau, darker was England). They are all in severe played-with condition when I found them. I noted the example shown by Christian also has paint loss on the chrome parts. And I've not seen a mint Amber yet. So I wonder if it's possible this 'Amber' glazing caused by long time sunlight?

Hi Ritchie, thank's for the additional pictures of your examples. yes, the glazing in these models could be affected by Sun light and general environmental issues and interesting they seem to be found on playworn models, like yourself, I have not seen a mint model with Amber glazing.

It would be nice to find the example in the picture below to see if it's glazing has Yellowed with age.
I am not totally sure what status the model is...'Pre-Pro' or 'Test Shot', but it was used to announce the model in a converted 40 foot long Truck and called Matchbox Showliner. It was to preview new models for introduction during 1986.

Or this example used for the 1986 pocket catalogue.

By just looking at the images, they both look like the retailed version to me.
And I'm very curious about the Matchbox Showliner event and wonder if you have an image of the Showliner truck itself from the roadshow?

I have not been able to find any pictures for "Ritchie" of the truck used by Matchbox in 1986 as a 'Showliner' truck. There are severla models issued as 'Showliner' but not with a tractor unit likely to have been used on the real truck. There was a 'Pre-Pro' DAF tractoer unit paired with a 'Showliner' trailer which is a very probable unit for working the shows in the UK.

I'll look for a picture of that one.

I think this is a 'Pre-Pro' truck of a DAF 'Showliner' but I do not know if it is based on the real 'Showliner' Truck used for the new model releases mentioned above in the Silver Cloud posting. I still have not found a picture of the real truck.

Anyway, not a lot of produce for me this time, a Vauxhall PA Cresta with what appears to be clear glazing, a Spot-On Rolls-Royce Silver Cloud III in plastic from their 'Magicar' range and a 24 Carat Gold plated set of Lledo Rolls-Royce models on a plynth.
These models carried Two batteries and went round a slotted plastic track, but not with a hand controller like Scalextric, these just sat there until you gave the model a gentle shuv, then it went off on it's own and tackled various obstacles like a level crossing gate and Horses.

I have this already in my collection but haggled down to just £20, this was worth having again.
This set of Three models is not that common and for only £5 (no haggling here!), this is a nice spare set to have.
