I've no pictures to hand. But I'm a true petrolhead!! I learnt to drive when I was 10 (off-road of course) in my dad's 1979 Range Rover fitted with a Ford A-Series Truck Engine.
Got my first car when I was 12 - 1973 MG BGT, which went to the scrapper last year. & I've another '72 BGT thats about 50% restored.
Learnt to drive in a 1980 Metro, that scared my Mum so much, the day after I passed my test she part ex'd it for a Saab 9000 while I was at college. (nice car for a 17 year old though!!).

You're not kidding, I had a saab 9000 Carlson with a race built 300hp engine, man that baby used to fly. Did London to Glasgow airport in under 6 hours, that was 88 mph average speed !

I didn't have a Turbo one, but I got my first speeding ticket within the 1st month crusing at 82 on the A59 over Blubberhouses top.
We swapped it a couple of years later for another non-turbo one saloon, but an ex-company directors car, and was fully loaded, everything electric & leather.

My Saab was fitted with a taller 5th gear and a larger turbo, it was, so I'm told, clocked at 170mph on a racetrack, The taller gear was removed and a smaller turbo was fitted before I bought it so I could only get it up to 130mph, But after an 8 hour drive I could get out feeling fresh as a daisy with no back ache, I love my BMW but I rate the Saab higher.
