You can't have it both ways. Either we discover and publish all the variations or we burn all the guides, and shut down the forums ... what good is an incomplete list of known variations? This is starting to sound like more of that elitist collector garbage where a few self ordained people want to control all the information and the rest be damned.
It might be time to start my "Bucket List."

I put it forward for us to discuss, why is it upto you to decide. That admin position has gone to your head.

What the F--- does that mean,

Ok, i´ll try again!

I started collecting mbx maybe 10 or 12 years ago, I knew nothing about variations, untill i got the sugar container with grey and black wheels. When some more obvious differences turned up, i started to search for informations. So where to get it?

Its the longtime collectors, that build up a knowledge base on places like this here, working out details and descriptions, answering questions from noobs, showing them, what to look out for and guiding them into this great hobby. Thats what you guys do and thats the only way how you can protect people from getting frauded.

I am solidly on record as wanting every known variation documented because you can't prove a fake with out graphic facts. The entire point of every book, printed guide and online guide is to publish each and every known variation. Significant portions of this forum are dedicated to discovering variations and publishing them. Either we shut down anything and everything that has to do with discovering variations or we continue forward with discovery. As long as I am still breathing, I will always fight for every discovery to be published and fight against the self appointed elite who wish to control information which all should have.

Right back at you! The reality is that unless you want to start a new "Iron Curtain," information and discovery belongs to everyone without restrictions.

I have done nothing but share information on this forum from the start, I added it into the toyroom(which I would not do normally) for discussion.

What is "Right back at you", this is suppose to be a forum not some sort of competition.

I am totally gobsmacked at your lack of respect for a collector like myself, I have done nothing but treat you with respect .

I think your having a go at the wrong person here, I thought we were trying to get rid of fraudsters not forum members.

Please, please Guys, we can't be fighting among ourselves, it will get us nowhere.

Here are the Two pictures of the Beales Van.

Image
The near side does show the 'Dot'.

Image
The off side without the 'Dot'. The ends of the points of the White star fall short of the circle meaning this star is smaller than the star on the other side of the model.

Yes I think it is, because if you look at the other side even that decal has damage, so it seems logical to source a replacement, no harm in that, as any new owner can always remove and source a more accurate decal.
