If true, another once major fair to bite the dust. Shame. Think Windsor may also be defunct now, but may rise like a phoenix from the ashes aye Kev?

I remember Donington toyfair from the 80's, great fair as Bob says. Gloucester Leisure Centre was also a great toyfair as was the NEC in it's heyday when they had the upper floor level if anyone remembers that also.

Shepton Mallet was pretty good, as was Pickets Lock. Not forgetting Farnham Maltings for the YY fans.

Yes, these were all pre internet days when you got the Collectors Gazette each month and looked down the timetable of events for details of all the upcoming toyfairs. :)

My mate said there were banners on the wall saying its the last one,the renue owners want it exclusively for motor related shows so its possibly the toyfair may be started somewhere else, trouble is my mate said it was a big one 500+tables so difficult to accomodate such a large event,if he hears anything i will post it here

Hi

I'm coming over from New Zealand and going to be in Birmingham for the NEC toy fair on 7 May. Hope to meet some board members.

I am flying to Amsterdam from the fair and hoping I can store my suitcase in a members car during the fair. I am staying in central Birmingham and don't want to have to go back to get my suitcase.I plan on being their for the 8 am entry. If you can help or have suggestions on meeting up at the fair please message me.

Asking now because the trip starts this weekend.

Thanks
Matt

Has anyone attended at the Gateshead Stadium toy fair?

I noted that there are 2 dates coming up soon 17June and 9 Sept. I was thinking of going but would appreciate any comments about it before I commit.

Sorry Matt, I won't be attending the NEC until August. I am sure some of the other regulars might be able to help. I am also sure that there is a cloakroom facility at the hall if I am not mistaken where you might be able to leave a suitcase for a small fee. Why don't you contact the fair organiser to check.
