Re: Recent finds
Seeing it next to the green example, would 'Putty Grey' be a more appropiate shade description?

Re: Recent finds
This lot were sold as spares but I think a couple of them were worth having despite the poor condition
Can you guess which two?
Happy collecting

Re: Recent finds
There's a weird-shaped Hot Wheels but I know nothing about them so I've no idea if it's interesting. Is the Mack truck an early casting? The others do look very battered...

Re: Recent finds
If I may, the weird shaped Hot Wheels model is in fact a Topper Toys 'johnny Lightning' futuristic model designed to compete against the Hot Wheels item. 31 models were introduced during 1969 and today are quite collectible due to the original Topper Toys company closing down in 1971.

Your guess about the Mack Truck is absolutely correct - see photo below of the base - although I have 2 other playworn versions I couldn't resist another oneDrJeep wrote:There's a weird-shaped Hot Wheels but I know nothing about them so I've no idea if it's interesting. The other regular wheel of note is the Cadillac Ambulance with the 'flat floor' base

Amazing! - it is a Johnny Lightning 'Stilleto' model with tiny Topper writing on the base which I had not noticed. As can be seen in the base photo the front axle is missing and the condition is very poor

Re: Recent finds
Latest job lot - I think it should be fairly obvious what model I was after

Re: Recent finds
Was your primary goal the green 23b caravan or the yellow 31b station (estate) wagon?
Either way, it looks like a nice lot with some older pieces.
Congratulations and enjoy!

Thanks for the comments. You guessed it - I bought this lot to get the yellow station wagon. It has the usual maroon base but no silver trim on the front grill/headlights/bumper or rear bumper which seems to be an unlisted variation on the NJ web site.
The yellow Euclid tipper is my first - this seems to be harder to find than the later 3 axle version that replaced it. It is mssing the rear hinge pin and has a staple instead! - however it does have the crimped axles.
The Sentinel Steam Waggon has no decals and is in a different duller shade of blue and the seat backs have a stud/protrusion on each side at the top which is missing from my other version with the decals
The incomplete major pack/acccessory models led me to search online for the mssing parts and although nothing suitable showed up I did find another major model that I have been looking for over the last couple of years. It is due at the end of the week so all being well I will do a posting
