I don't understand. (Do you mean "anti-sniping feature"?) What do you have running and what does it do?Moyboy wrote:There is a sniping feature in the admin section that does this. I have it running already

Mick reffers to the MOYBOYZ Auctions I set up for him - http://moyboyz.com/auction/
The sniping feature sets period and how close to the end of the auction bids can be placed.

Aha! Thank you! It would be interesting to know the exact settings used (and whether his membersr like or dislike this feature).RacingFreak wrote:Mick reffers to the MOYBOYZ Auctions I set up for him - http://moyboyz.com/auction/

I had the same questions as you, Idris. If this is implemented, is it on a per-item basis, or will it be site wide? And how will one know that these "restrictions" are in place? Is it stated somehow in the auction that you can't bid in the last two minutes, for instance, or that the auction will be reset for X amount of time under certain circumstances?Idris wrote:Aha! Do I like it? No, but that's the buyer in me speaking. I manually snipe almost everything I buy on eBay. But if I ever become a seller, I'm thinking it has to be a good thing.

Re: VBD Auctions
Hi Al, it is global setting as far I know, however I guess it will be possible to make it per item option.

The 'wanted' ads on the auction site are now free.
Alan I have sent you a refund.
Ewan, Your two auctions end today, I have the high bid (at 20p), If you want to relist them because they never ran for the full week thats fine by me,

You didn't have to do that, but thanks! I was feeling pretty good knowing I had contributed 20 pence so you could retire early, though...

You're too late Al, I retired 11 years ago, and I'm still only 55Big Al wrote: ........I was feeling pretty good knowing I had contributed 20 pence so you could retire early, though...
