Hello shockwavetrading,

Yet more 'copies' and 'inspired' models turn up, it is a mindfield on its own, but I am glad I started this thread, it is so interesting to see so many "Matchbox" 'Look-a-likes' etc, thanks for adding to it and for posting pictures.

Regards,
GHOSTHUNTER.

Thank's Nick for the photo.

Always a good idea to reverse the colours on your 'Copied' toys, just to give them some distance to the originals and keep the lawyers at bay...!!!

Here are some copies I uncovered recently when moving my stored items into our new home.
These are the first photo's I've posted straight out of my photos stored on the computer. Previously I've gone through photobucket but they changed everything and now I have no idea of how to work it.
I followed Nicks instructions to get this far, from another post. Motorman said something about reducing photo size to 500 pixels. How do I do this?
Can I load multiple files at the same time? If so how do I do that as I had to do these one at a time.

Thanks for any help
Cheers Steve

Come on guys PLEASE resize your images!!!

I have resized these to 500 pixels wide. It takes 2 minutes to edit and makes it so much easier to view your images. :)

I have always heard that imitation is the highest form of flattery. It is amazing the impact that a small British toy company that was only around for a little over thirty years had. A few years ago I was in a Big Lot store in Memphis and saw a box of small plastic trucks that were made in China. The trucks came in a ten pack and cost $3. The trucks were replicas of different 1967-1969 Matchbox trucks. One I remember clearly was the 60b Site Hut truck. After examining it I would swear it was made from the same die that Matchbox used. I wish now that I had bought the set. Has anyone else seen it?
Thanks,

Oldfart

Having had a look online, I think it should be possible for automatic resizing to be included in the Forum upload programming (as we had with Lefora), but this would require Nick to work some computer magic!
