You've cracked it mm. Try rubbing your wheels with a lemon. They may dissolve, but boy they'll smell fresh

The apparent chemical resistance of the wheels will be the result of a number of factors:
- principally the wheel material, but also
- the presence (or absence) of any fillers or additives,
- the concentration of acetaone, and
- the exposure time.

OK Guys, thank's for the comedy, all great stuff.

While I had the model to hand, it seemed logical to code it using the 'Nick Code'. I completely ignored my own notes and version listing for the model and simply found the corresponding details in the list and it would seem to be a Code 12, the first model with the gloss Black baseplate, so until Nick changes or updates the listing, this has been added to the model and will be added to my notes.

I will do this for other examples of this model in my collection, but I know I have more than one example of a model that collectively will match a specific 'Code' number, meaning I could find Three models that match with Nick's Code 5 etc, etc and I will extend this by making them 'Code 5A', Code 5B' and 'Code 5C'.

I will not force anyone here on the forum to adopt this for their models, it is just to help me with all my versions and the best way I could integrate my versions into Nick's Code listing.

The recent Huntingdon toy fair allowed me to add these Matchbox models to my collection, the best condition examples are the Two Cream #MB 31, Silver Clouds, the #39e Silver-Grey Silver Shadow II. The others have minor playworn chips, but all were quite cheap.

The plastic "FAB 1" moulded as part of the drinks container lid, comes from a 'Pizza Hut' promotion during 1992 and while I have this already, it is in storage so unavailable for photography, so as this was on the dealer's table and after lots of should I or should I not buy it, I did and had the other containers with their lids as a job lot, and surely one Day I can sell the others (depicting Thunderbirds 1 and 2 etc), to another collector of Gerry Anderson.

I was very lucky in finding one in the normal 'Double Wndow' box intended for the Cream model.
