I was in charge of ICT (Information, Communication & Technology) at my school, as well as teaching for many years and was the goto person for computer problems for our Mac computers. I soon learned a raft of explanations to cover solutions.

"I increased the voltage flow to the the computer". (plugged it back in as power cord had come out when the screen was pulled forward).
"I upgraded your mouse to make it compatible with the laptop" (put battery in wireless mouse).
"I ran a system & software check" (turned off computer and turned back on).
"I improved the visual luminosity and contrast on the screen" (turned up brightness control).
"I corrected the data reading capability of the CD ROM drive" (turned the disc over).
I improved the connectivity of the device to the local broadband signal" (turned on WiFi)

It all sounded a lot more technical when I showed them what I had done.

For those who had a sense of humour
"I think the problem is somewhere between the chair and the computer"
"It's a wetware problem"
"It's an ID ten T problem"
