Corgi Toys Glossary.

I know them as Smooth and Shaped. Both styles are spin aluminum, a process inherited from the pre-Corgi Mettoy products.

The terminology I use is:

SmWhCOA Smooth wheels crimped on axles

ShWhCOA Shaped wheels crimped on axles

ShWhFOA Shaped wheels free on axles (Axles with peened ends.)

Depends on the country. Canadians may say either, but Americans only say Aluminum. The British way sounds funny here.

'From a British point of view, 'understood'' might have been a better choice of word than 'accepted'.

I concur with both Bill and Hugh. Using the British pronunciation in the States would likely get the speaker a funny look, but the listener would understand what is being referred to.

Thinking about the early Corgi Toys:

2## Originally model automobiles without suspension or mechanisms

2##M The same model but with a flywheel (Mechanical) motor fitted to the rear axle.

2##S The same model again, but fitted with Spring Suspension.

2##A Sometimes used for models with updated or revised diecast bodies.
