Someone's beaten you to it.

Some nice work from this seller if you're into code 3's. Note he's used the horses from the Shand.

That is one nice Bus! Love that and thanks for posting the photo.

Work has ground to a halt here. I got one week that the humidity was down low enough to paint and then back to high humidity. There is a slow and slower moving tropical storm/low grade hurricane that has covered us in day and night rain for ten days, It's about to make landfall on the Gulf of Mexico side of the state. It's expected cross over us and exit into the Atlantic. It will be about another seven days before the weather clears and we have any hope of the humidity going back down enough to paint. Right now the humidity in the the 90% range, every thing is damp and sodden.
It might be time to start my "Bucket List."

I'm not so sure of that. Seems to be the original horses to me.

Regardless, the person who made these had a good eye and one very steady hand for detail work. They are quite talented.

Not original horses. These are from a late run Shand as they have the circular collar round the hole in the side of the horse for the draw bar attachment. The Allchin would look even better with a black smokebox and chimney, and wheels without the red paint on the strakes on the wheels.

I see the pronounced ring now that you've pointed it out. Have mercy on me, I'm still trying to get a grip on details/variations of early Yesteryears.

It will be a very, very long journey if you really want to know all the in's and out's of the Yesteryear models...

I've been collecting YY's for the thick end of 50 years, and I'm still learning!

My interest in the series comes in the winter of my life. Doubt I'll ever get beyond the newbie stage, much less even make it up to novice. Heck, I can't even seem to find the book that was recommended. Went to Rockertron's site and there not even a mention of it there.
