Interesting and thanks for putting up that great photo! It is a very subtle difference.
It might be time to start my "Bucket List."

I managed to find two firemen and one driver. Firemen are plastic originals (one is missing a hand) and the driver is a reproduction (also missing a hand). Beggars can't be choosy as parts are very hard to come by now. So, until I can get better firemen, the restoration is done for now.

Looks pretty good to me and we only know it has been restored because of where it is on the forum and you telling us...otherwise a factory finish could be in front of our eyes.
