What was the outcome with the paint removing, got a gem coming that needs a lot of paint removing so a heads up would be great.

Thanks for the reminder. Oddly enough, I was just thinking about this this morning.
Unfortunately, it's merely a shade rather than a colour difference. I'll finish the paint removal and will then post a couple of photographs.
