Yes I could see a worker doing the wheel switch just for fun but I feel this one just slipped by quality control and left the factory this way. I do not think the wheels were changed after the fact as there is almost no clearance between the body and the axle ends, I tried to take close up pictures of the axle position relative to the body on both sides without moving the model between pictures. Thanks everyone for your input on this one. I will add it to my error collection...All the best, Al

I agree - that axle looks the right length. Here's mine for comparison.
