I've converted the two pages into a single pdf. If you have more than ten posts to your name, please PM me with an e-mail address if you would like a copy

In the case of one British make, money was asked for, which seems an odd way of looking at 10 million free adverts for your product being spread around the world, not to mention a million or so catalogs. A rather similar rival Italian model is being made instead.
I wonder what the two models referenced therein are?

My first thought was the 75b Ferrari, which resembles an Aston Martin and is almost the same colour as the 19c Aston Martin racing car. The 75b was introduced in 1965, the year the 19c was dropped.

But I also wondered about the 14d Iso Grifo, introduced in 1968. Might it have been an alternative to a model of the Jensen Interceptor? The other Italian models around in 1968 are the 33c Miura (surely no British car of the era looks like a Miura) and the 56b Fiat 1500 (Hillman Hunter, perhaps, though they weren’t really rivals on the UK market).

Hello Dave,

Thank you for adding this detail. I really enjoy this sort of material, sorry to hear that you lost a whole pile of other magazines to dampness.
I check mine on a fairly regular bases but mainly for insect damage.

"...an apparently redundant process which I think I'd better keep quiet about..."

I'm intrigued! Anyone got any ideas?
