The correct name for both Lesney Bentley models is...Bentley 4.5 Litre, 'Supercharged'...the Bentley 3 Litre is a different car, (as modelled by Corgi) but I'm sure RVREVO knew that and has just done a slight 'typo' error... ;)

UPDATE...

I have now found one of the two missing Bentley models noted in my earlier post, the fith model made, that was not ticked on my master list for these models and its only the fact they had been disturbed for those few earlier pictures, that I have found it, stuck in a poly bag without any identification notes or sticker and its an important version, it is the first issue with the rear spring 'fill-in', so now I am only chasing one version, the late model with race number '3' on it.

Thank's RVREVO, for getting me of my arse and digging into a box of models, a box I had not looked in for a long time... :)

On that basis...there's no telling what I might find in my boxes of Y-10 Silver Ghosts...can't wait ;)

1st series Bentley. Missing some of the variations on this one. Gold grille with grey hood is very hard to find a genuine example of.

Image
2nd series Bentley. The basic listing in the YY books is quite limited for this model. There are many variations to the blower casting, but these may be construed as a deterioration of the mold rather than deliberate modifications by some.

A selection of a few of the giftware items associated with this model. The front pen stand has additional advertising printing. Check out the phone number!

4th series Bentley. The 3rd Bently issued was confusingly part of the 4th series of models. The models on the top row are totally plastic and were part of the mold development process. The all black one is 1st generation, the green one is 3rd generation. I'm still looking for the one in the middle!

Off on hols now for a week. 8-)

You can get expandable spice rack that work very well in model display. Here is a link to one at Walmart in the US, but doesn't seem to be available in Canada. It would work well for a step display. There are also many other makes and types like this.

If it wasn't for drugs, alcohol, and stupidity, I'd be out of work!

Yes, they look ideal, my problem is having nowhere to keep them when there's no models on them, I am seriously short on spare space, but if I can find them in the U.K. I'll certainly have a look at one, thank's for the link, Cam.

Yeah, mine ate in archive boxes and roller bins.
Gave a whole bunch of doubles to my Dad, who is finally appreciating my hobby a bit.

Biggest Bentley in my collection is a scale 1/20 Bentley Continental cabrio by Solido.

All those Y5-2 Bentley models, but I could not see a Apple Green one, or maybe the pictures were to dark.

Hello kerbside, all four models on the top shelf are 'Applegreen' versions, I am sure YYS4BOB won't mind me taking the liberty of pointing this out for you.

What other examples of the Y-5(2) Bentley do you have to show us, I want to see other members models before I show mine, (hoping my collection then does not look too small !) as I have a measly pair of 'Applegreens', compaired to those shown by YYS4BOB :x

Hello Ghosthunter, I have only one more, as I stopped collecting YY models in 1996, so I could put all my time into the "Matchbox" 1-75, 1953 to 1970 only.

I have not added a YY model to my collection since then.
