Overpainted castings can and do exist. I think Mick (''SMS88''), had something like it on one his Wreckers, maybe Hugh can remember this.

Yes, Mick found a 13d in normal colours. However, inspection of the play damage to the paintwork of the rear section revealed it to be an overpainted yellow casting - presumably a left-over from the abortive reverse colour scheme.GHOSTHUNTER wrote:Overpainted castings can and do exist. The green is on the paper label. Look closer and you will see where the labels have damage and clearly show yellow paint underneath (including damage on that errant strip of green.motorman wrote:I may be wrong but if this were genuine would we expect to see traces of green under the yellow paint?
