Great models and boxes. A little jealous :-)

I haven't found a good bulk lot in about a decade.

What a great collection, I would love to go through that lot looking at all the variations. J

Well done Dave, a great haul. Thought it was an interesting lot when when I first saw it up for grabs.
Plus you got the bonus for making contact.

Thanks Rodger. The timing on seeing the request for the buy now by the other user and snapping them up saved a significant outlay. The other two lots of Superfast models by the same seller sold for nearly 4x the dollars per car for less valuable cars.

For those interested the auction photo's of the two other lots I didn't win are below:

Lot 1

Lot 2 - more cars and more interest so the seller was cajoled into posting shots out of the box by several insistent buyers.

There were some valuable boxes in this lot, Dave.
The SF6 Mercedes Tourer and of course the SF 76 to 79.
Would be nice to win this lot.

I'm not an expert in pricing on these by any means, the first lot of 50 odd cars went for 700 quid equivalent and the second lot of 70 odd cars 925 pounds. Does that tie up with your expectation, given what you're saying?

The simple maths gives each model a price of around £13 to £14 pounds sterling, so if a collector is happy with paying that amount at a toy collectors fair for a single model, I would say that is reasonable.
