Hi Red
This seller has been very busy selling fakes under many names and there are some on another thread as well now. If I could get hold of the geezer I would string him up by his balls and hang him out to dry.
Anyway if you have any questions about sellers just ask on here first.

As Tinman says, it’s sad to see this happen, but don’t be too downhearted. I’m sure you weren’t knowingly showing fakes. The bus looks fine, and there are plenty of good sellers out there. You’ll find some better models, I’m sure.

Thanks Dr Jeep,

But I have suddenly lost the thrill of collecting so I will look for something else to pass My lasting days.
Cheers to All from Red.

Hi Red,

Don't get downhearted by your experience - we've all been there.
Feelings of excitement/anticipation, then the disappointment.

But don't let the &^%$*##+! spoil what is a great hobby.
For me it drove me to find out more about the models we collect and eventually being part of this great site.

Take a break and come back with fresh eyes and don't be afraid to ask for advice.

Hey Al, you're not leaving us over one bad apple that you found are you. Your experience is an eye opener for many more collectors so just put that one down to experience and carry on sharing your usual quite sound model knowledge with us.

We've all been there (and that even includes Nick) and, unfortunately, it's part of the learning process. In this particular case you' can simply return the item (claiming 'Not as described'), and get your money back.
You should also remember that the 5d bus is a good buy. It will display well and is probably still on the wants list of many of the people reading this thread.

Some of you may remember this from 2007,it really opened my eyes  ,a collector had bought or was buying the grey wheeler (i think he was czech) when through some detective work it was exposed has a wheel swop, its been going on for ages and will carry on while there's money involved and catches most people out eventually

Exposed for all to see. Great set of pictures Dave.

For the benefit of ''red-thumb'' (Al), can we steer this thread back to the Baron of Beef Bus, thank's.

I disagree. The above posts are all relevant to Al's last post which reads:

It would seem Red has left the forum (at least for the time being). He has not logged in since the day his model was outed as being a fake. I recommend email for those wishing to encourage Red and share positive support, cause he's no longer reading here.
It might be time to start my "Bucket List."
